We are currently assisting a premier career coaching platform based in Hong Kong. This platform is dedicated to empowering professionals to achieve their career goals. We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our dynamic content team and assist in creating compelling visual stories that resonate with our audience. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, cinematic-style content for our YouTube channel and social media platforms, with a focus on career development, professional growth, and success stories.
Responsibilities:
Content Production:
– Produce 1-2 long-form videos per week (10-30 minutes) with cinematic YouTube channel aesthetics
– Create engaging short-form content for social media platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
– Edit client testimonials, coaching session highlights, and educational content
– Develop compelling thumbnails and visual assets for video content
Creative Development:
– Collaborate with the content team to conceptualize video concepts and storytelling approaches
– Maintain consistent brand aesthetics and visual identity across all video content
– Implement creative transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling
– Ensure content aligns with our professional yet approachable brand voice
Technical Execution:
– Edit raw footage using professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
– Color grade and audio mix to achieve cinematic quality standards
– Optimize videos for different platforms and formats
– Manage video assets, project files, and maintain organized content libraries
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
– 3+ years of professional video editing experience
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
– Strong understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics
– Experience with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social media platform content creation and platform optimization
– Knowledge of various video formats, codecs, and compression techniques
Creative Abilities:
– Strong storytelling skills with attention to pacing and narrative flow
– Eye for cinematic composition, lighting, and visual aesthetics
– Ability to create engaging content that drives viewer retention
– Understanding of current social media video trends and best practices
Professional Requirements:
– Portfolio demonstrating high-quality video editing work, preferably including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels content
– Experience working with professional development, coaching, or educational content preferred
– Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
– Excellent communication skills in English
