Sr. Manager, Data Strategy – WMS
US Foods is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Strategy – WMS to join our team. This position is responsible for leading the data strategy and execution efforts for the deployment of a modernized Warehouse Management System (WMS) at US Foods. As a key member of our team, you will identify high-value opportunities to drive new value through data and implement new capabilities to improve inventory, warehouse, capacity, availability, network, warehouse operations, and transportation management. This role will have a high impact on the company’s customer experience, network performance, efficiency, profitability, and future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the WMS Data Product Owner, developing and managing a strategic roadmap of supply chain digital capabilities.
• Lead successful cutover for core operational reporting.
• Ensure new reporting opportunities align with performance management strategy.
• Establish and maintain alignment with leaders and stakeholders on data opportunities.
• Support WMS Deployment leaders in refining, measuring, and forecasting WMS benefits.
• Assess, design, and implement process changes to ensure consistent, high-quality data.
• Design and lead the execution of advanced analytics and process automation opportunities for supply chain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across field, operations excellence, replenishment, logistics, and finance to define clear and compelling visions of realized opportunities at scale.
• Define digital supply chain impact summaries, including scope, value return, cost estimates, dependencies, and roadmaps.
• Partner with IT and ADS (Analytics Data Science) to define technical roadmaps for digital opportunities.
• Lead activation and management of year-one projects, defining scope, schedule, change management plans, and success metrics.
• Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Supply Chain Data Strategy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, operations management, supply chain management, business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant supply chain, operations, and/or logistics experience, including 2+ years of management experience.
• Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (Blue Yonder) and related supply chain technology.
• Strong background in data analysis, reporting, and modeling for supply chain functions.
• Proven experience with advanced analytics techniques and technologies, such as Python, Snowflake, Knime, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Change management and communication skills.
• Experience influencing peers and senior leaders.
• Competency in identifying, establishing, implementing, and sharing operational best practices.
• Experience leading projects that require coordination across team boundaries in large, multi-function, cross-geographic, matrixed organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations technology and related regulations, preferably in the foodservice or transportation industry.
• Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate complex and diverse situations.
• Ability to develop and inspire team members.
• Empathetic leadership style and ability to understand and adapt to the perspectives of various stakeholders.
