About the Role:
As a Sr Commerce Developer at Sutherland, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our eCommerce solutions. With 9 years of experience in the field, you will use your expertise in eCommerce platforms, web development, and system integration to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in eCommerce technology to continuously improve our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of eCommerce solutions using Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or other relevant technologies.
• Develop and maintain custom modules, extensions, and integrations to enhance eCommerce functionalities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimize the performance, scalability, and security of eCommerce applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to eCommerce platforms and systems.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in eCommerce technology and apply them to improve our solutions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers and team members.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in eCommerce development with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Expertise in Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or other relevant eCommerce platforms.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and other relevant programming languages and technologies.
• Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.
• Solid understanding of database management and integration techniques.
• Knowledge of web services and API integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
