We are looking for a talented Software Engineer II to join our Capital Risk team and contribute to our loan sale operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to directly impact Affirm’s financial health by optimizing our funding processes.
Responsibilities:
– Develop intuitive and efficient user experiences for our Capital business counterparts
– Automate workflows and optimize capital efficiency through batch processes and data pipelines
– Build a foundational platform for transaction reconciliation across systems, partners, and cash movements
– Take ownership of the capital systems that power and fund Affirm
– Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, code, test, and ship scalable systems and processes
Qualifications:
– 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
– Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
– Ability to develop elegant, simple, and extensible designs for technical plans
– Proficiency in writing high-quality code that is easily understood by others
– Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team
– Knowledge of Python, MySQL, Airflow, and Spark is a plus
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
