Position Overview:

As a Software Engineer II, you will lead the development, release, and maintenance of software applications and operating systems according to business needs. You will also define and create future software business and manage day-to-day software development. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and one year of experience in the job or a related occupation.

Key Responsibilities:

– Direct and oversee the company’s software engineering function
– Develop policies and procedures for high-quality software products and services
– Ensure software deliverables meet availability and performance goals
– Provide technical guidance and resolve conflicts in technical approach, designs, and coding practices
– Apply industry trends in technology, tools, and practices to improve software development productivity and quality

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
– One year of experience in the job or a related occupation
– Demonstrated knowledge and experience with web and desktop-based application development, debugging software applications, web technologies (HTML, CSS or Web API), programming languages (.NET, C#, Java, or Python), SQL Server database, and project management practices (agile or lean)

Location:

This position is based in Bethesda, MD, but telecommuting is an option. Our office address is 4550 Montgomery Ave, Suite 1050N, Bethesda, MD 20814.
