Agile Defense is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our team. Our company is dedicated to bringing adaptive innovation to support our nation’s most important missions through the seamless integration of advanced technologies, elite minds, and unparalleled agility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the design, development, analysis, and implementation of software operating systems and application programs. They will work from specifications to develop and modify operating systems and software applications, and will be involved in the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
The primary focus of this role will be supporting the Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Application, Implementation, Modernization, and Support (AIMS) project. GDSS is a mission-critical command and control platform that enables global air mobility operations. It provides real-time visibility into aircraft status, mission schedules, cargo loads, and crew readiness across worldwide locations. GDSS supports rapid decision-making by integrating logistics, operations, and intelligence data for enhanced situational awareness.
The scope of this award is to sustain, develop, modernize, test, deliver, field, and maintain applications within an Agile/DevSecOps software construction methodology supporting designated Mobility Air Forces (MAF) portfolio of applications. Additionally, the team will provide migration support to move GDSS to the Cloud and implement the DoD’s Zero Trust requirements.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have an active DoD Secret clearance or suitability for an interim Secret clearance based on a favorable background investigation. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for a Level I Software Engineer, 5 years for a Level II, and 7 years for a Level III. A high school diploma or Associates Degree is required for a Level I, and a college degree (Engineering/EE/CE/MBA) is required for a Level II or III. Appropriate technical experience and certifications are also required for each level.
