Responsibilities:
– Architect and implement a high-performing distributed system in Python
– Develop data analysis pipelines using various languages such as Golang and R
– Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs
– Work with SQL or other relational databases
– Utilize knowledge of concurrency and experience with race conditions to ensure efficient and effective data processing
– Collaborate with a team of experts in molecular medicine, computation, data sciences, systems, and software to drive innovation and simplify complex data analysis
– Continuously improve and learn new technologies to enhance our solutions
– Follow Agile development methodology and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
– Communicate effectively and document work for easy understanding and future reference
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
– 3+ years of professional experience in software development
Knowledge/Skills:
– 2+ years of experience with Python
– 1+ year of Golang development experience (preferred)
– Experience with RESTful web services and APIs
– Familiarity with SQL or other relational databases
– Knowledge of concurrency and experience with race conditions
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
– Excellent communication and documentation skills
– Interest in learning and improving existing solutions
– Optional experience in bioinformatics and/or DevOps
