Gensyn is a cutting-edge company at the forefront of the rapidly evolving world of machine intelligence. As machine intelligence takes over more and more of humanity’s role in knowledge-keeping and creation, Gensyn is leading the way in developing protocols to coordinate and grow this new form of intelligence. We are seeking a talented and experienced Smart Contract Engineer to join our team and help us build the future.
Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
– Design, engineer, and audit Gensyn’s solidity smart contracts
– Write smart contracts to orchestrate ML workflows and arbitration/settlement processes
– Conduct security audits of contracts and integration points with the rest of the Gensyn codebase
– Test and debug code to ensure production readiness
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
– Strong experience in Solidity, specifically with smart contracts handling non-trivial funds
– Experience in lower level systems programming and/or full-stack development
– Strong understanding of Rollups
– Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (e.g. Mocha and Chai)
Preferred:
– Experience writing smart contracts that interact with oracles
– Exposure to venture-backed start-up environments
– Conceptual understanding of machine learning workflows
Nice-to-Have:
– Experience with AI systems in production
Compensation and Benefits:
– Competitive salary and share of equity/token pool
– Fully remote work (we currently hire between the West Coast (PT) and Central Europe (CET) time zones)
– Visa sponsorship available for those interested in relocating to the US after being hired
– 3-4x all expenses paid company retreats around the world per year
– Equipment provided
– Paid sick leave and flexible vacation
– Company-sponsored health, vision, and dental insurance (including spouse/dependents in the US)
Our Principles:
– Autonomy and Independence: We have a constraint culture, not a permission culture. Take ownership of your work and set goals/deadlines.
– Push and Pull Context: Communicate clearly and proactively seek information rather than waiting for it to be given to you.
– Stay a Small Team: We believe small teams are more effective and avoid misalignment and politics.
– Rejection of Mediocrity and High Performance: We value direct feedback and embrace a culture of continuous learning and pushing boundaries.
– Don’t Quit: We believe in pushing through barriers to achieve the best outcome.
– Be Anti-Fragile: We balance short-term risk for long-term gains.
– Reject Waste: We value our time and avoid wasting it in meetings without clear purpose or focus. Apply link
