Position: Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the Role:
As a member of the sensing team at Vannevar Labs, you will play a crucial role in building a new hardware product to meet the need for affordable, easily coordinated, and attritable sensing. We are seeking a talented software engineer to develop and deliver a cutting-edge platform for managing, operating, and deploying physical sensors. This is a cross-functional role, working with software engineers, machine learning specialists, former military officers, and product strategists. You will have the opportunity to own critical product features and contribute to the overall direction of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and build applications for managing and configuring physical sensors remotely
– Develop pipelines for integrating sensor data into downstream products and external systems
– Create innovative test infrastructure for various systems in our platform, including on-target and backend software
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and own critical capabilities for our sensing platform
– Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with mission owners, better understand requirements, and deliver capabilities
Qualifications (Must-Haves):
– 4+ years of experience in software development using a general-purpose programming language
– Proven experience owning features from development to release
– Experience with React and JavaScript development
– Familiarity with various relational and non-relational database systems
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Must be a U.S. resident or citizen
Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
– Experience with embedded systems
– Familiarity with software-defined radio
