Position: Senior Data Scientist

Job Description:
As the Senior Data Scientist, you will lead end-to-end projects and collaborate with product, engineering, and domain experts to develop solutions for forecasting power demand, predicting equipment failures, and optimizing energy usage. We are seeking a candidate who is well-versed in data analysis, can build solid models, and write clean Python code that is ready for production. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead data science initiatives and oversee their execution
– Analyze time series data and develop models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization
– Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain experts to implement features
– Clean and organize data, test hypotheses, and make informed modeling decisions
– Effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical team members
– Contribute to best practices for reproducibility, testing, and model monitoring
Qualifications:
– Strong background in statistics and machine learning theory
– Experience working with time series data and building predictive models
– Expertise in Python and data science tools (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.)
– Previous remote work experience and a student mindset
– Availability for a 4-hour overlap with CET time zones
– Eligibility to obtain a visa and travel to Italy within three months of hiring
