Position: Senior Data Scientist – Renewable Energy Industry

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead end-to-end projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
Job Description:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading data science initiatives and executing them successfully. You will analyze time series data and develop predictive models to forecast power demand, detect anomalies, and optimize energy usage. Working closely with product, engineering, and domain experts, you will contribute to the development of features that will be utilized in our products. You will also be responsible for bringing clarity to complex data, testing hypotheses, and making informed decisions when building models. Communication skills are essential, as you will be required to present your findings to both technical and non-technical team members. Additionally, you will contribute to best practices for reproducibility, testing, and model monitoring.
Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of data and the ability to build solid models
– Proficiency in Python and experience with standard data science tools (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
– Strong background in statistics and machine learning theory
– Experience working with time series data and building predictive models
– Solid remote work experience and a student mindset
– Availability for a 4-hour overlap with CET time zones
– Eligibility to obtain a visa and travel to Italy within three months of hiring
