Position: Senior Analytics Engineer
Location: Vienna, Austria (with possibility for remote work within Austria or Germany)

Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Meister, you will be responsible for:
– Translating complex business needs into scalable data products that directly address stakeholder requirements and drive meaningful impact
– Writing clean, efficient, and DRY SQL code to handle large-scale datasets across multiple sources
– Applying industry standards and best practices to design scalable data models using tools like dbt
– Designing and scaling cloud-based warehouses or data lakes, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and long-term growth
– Proactively driving initiatives to maintain data quality through measures such as lineage, testing, documentation, and outlier detection
– Working directly with business stakeholders and other data team members to gather requirements, understand data challenges, and suggest ways to leverage data more effectively
– Optimizing data for BI tools and designing with the end-user experience in mind
– Staying ahead of the curve in AI and data technology and actively identifying opportunities to enhance our data platform and streamline data processes
What Makes You Special:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
– 4+ years of experience in the data space as an Analyst, Engineer, or Scientist
– Proven track record of translating complex business needs into scalable data products
– Expertise in SQL and experience with scalable SQL design and performance optimization
– Familiarity with data transformation tools like dbt and experience with Python for custom transformations and automation
– Experience designing and scaling cloud-based warehouses or data lakes, preferably with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
– Strong understanding of data quality measures and experience driving initiatives to maintain data quality
– Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and other data team members to gather requirements and suggest ways to leverage data more effectively
– Experience optimizing data for BI tools and designing with the end-user experience in mind
