Research Analyst – Smart Buildings
ABI Research is seeking highly motivated and knowledgeable individuals to join our team as Research Analysts in the smart commercial buildings technology market. As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on the latest smart building technologies and their impact on the market. This is a remote position based in the US and you will report to the Vice President of End Markets & Verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct research and analysis on smart buildings technologies and markets, including connected sensors, HVAC, lighting, access control, security, energy efficiency, building automation, and design and management software.
– Develop a deep understanding of specific smart building verticals, such as office buildings, datacenters, industrial buildings, government buildings, retail, hospitals, and more.
– Lead custom research and consulting projects, utilizing your expertise and knowledge.
– Represent ABI Research as a subject matter expert in the smart building technologies market.
– Conduct interviews with key stakeholders in the industry to gather insights on emerging technologies.
– Prepare presentations and participate in conferences, webinars, and other events related to smart building technologies.
– Collaborate with a team of analysts to develop and execute the overall research agenda.
– Support sales, marketing, and business development efforts by providing customer-specific analysis and participating in meetings with clients, prospects, and partners.
Desired Skills:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in forecasting and modeling in Excel.
– Experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis is preferred.
– Passion for technology innovation and a curious mindset.
– Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
– Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into valuable research deliverables.
