Overview:

[Company Name] is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Design Manager to join our dynamic team. As a member of our design group, you will collaborate with product owners, design leadership, developers, and curriculum experts to enhance and improve our English Language Arts curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

– Partner with creative leadership to ensure efficient design processes to meet ELA’s requirements
– Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, curriculum, and design teams to facilitate a smooth product development process
– Implement best practices and processes for design teams and continuously improve them
– Manage multiple design schedules and ensure timely delivery with thorough documentation
– Facilitate communication between identifying and solving design problems
– Contribute as a production designer when needed
– Allocate design time to projects and manage workload across the team
– Advocate for design needs and negotiate timelines with product leadership
– Maintain consistent server organization and file naming conventions
– Enhance design production pipeline and asset delivery processes
– Communicate project status to stakeholders and product teams

Qualifications:

– 3+ years of experience managing print production processes and workflow
– Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
– Experience creating and managing project schedules and trackers
– Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects with various stakeholders
– Able to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
– Familiarity with time management platforms such as Trello or Smartsheets
– Proven track record as an individual contributor and team manager
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements:

– Experience with visual design and layout design
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
– Working knowledge of Notion and Figma
– Passion for contributing to the field of literacy education
– Experience in in-house creative services, studio, non-profit, or museum operations
