Job Description:
Smartkarma is seeking a highly experienced senior independent analyst to lead and expand our comprehensive coverage of ASEAN equities, with a focus on Indonesia and the broader ASEAN region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering impactful, data-driven research and bespoke client services.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough bottom-up analysis of equities, including company tear-sheets, channel checks, and management-meeting takeaways
– Provide thematic commentary on economic and sectoral drivers across ASEAN markets
– Utilize valuation and relative-value frameworks to perform benchmark comparisons and peer analyses
– Prepare event-driven briefs, such as earnings previews, corporate actions, and capital-markets updates
– Offer high-touch service to select institutional clients
Qualifications:
– At least 10 years of research and/or investment experience for institutional clients
– Proven track record and extensive network across ASEAN equity capital markets
– Demonstrated ability to write high-quality research
