Role Overview:
We are looking for a Specialist Data Scientist to join our Product team and make an impact on millions of Brazilians. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing real-time scoring models, optimizing user onboarding, transforming our rule engine, and leading the adoption of new technologies. You will also be responsible for data modeling and advanced analytics, mentorship and technical leadership, and defining success metrics. We value autonomy, ownership, and a bias for action, and we are looking for someone who is curious, hands-on, and driven by impact.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement real-time scoring models to quantify the risk level of transactions and credit operations
● Optimize user onboarding by building predictive models using internal and third-party data
● Transform our rule engine into a dynamic and conditional graph-based rule engine
● Develop and implement fingerprinting and geographic tracking solutions to improve risk assessment
● Lead the adoption of new technologies like Databricks and Data Catalogue in the team
● Analyze large volumes of transactional, user behavior, and demographic data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement in risk assessment
● Guide and mentor team members, sharing your experience and knowledge, and leading key projects from a technical perspective
● Establish clear and relevant metrics to measure the impact of Data Science projects and operational efficiency improvement
Requirements:
● Demonstrable experience in building and implementing machine learning models
● Deep knowledge of classification, regression, and clustering algorithms, as well as feature engineering and model selection techniques
● Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Spark
● Experience with platforms like Databricks, AWS, and Azure
● Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and messaging tools (Kafka, SQS)
● Experience in developing and implementing real-time scoring
● Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences
● Analytical mindset and results-oriented, with a strong focus on problem-solving
● Passion for innovation and experimentation
● Knowledge of data modeling principles and experience in building robust and scalable data models
● Strong mathematical skills and ability to optimize complex problems
Bonus Points:
● Experience with graph-based rule engines
● Knowledge of fingerprinting and geographic tracking techniques
● Expertise in MLOPs
