Position: Draftsperson/Architect for Retail Fit-Outs and Rollout Projects

Are you a highly skilled and efficient Draftsperson or Architect with experience in retail fit-outs and rollout projects? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically sound individual to join our team at Remote Raven. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, can produce builder-ready documentation with minimal supervision, and is able to manage multiple concurrent site designs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Create precise and efficient construction documentation, joinery details, and builder-ready drawings.
– Produce high-quality renders and visualizations using Lumion, Enscape, or equivalent software.
– Translate design concepts into accurate CAD and BIM outputs for quick service retail, cafés, and similar spaces.
– Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, accessibility, and retail-specific compliance requirements.
– Maintain organized document control and versioning, especially in multi-site rollout projects.
– Communicate proactively with team members across time zones, providing regular progress updates.
– Adapt quickly to feedback and shifting project priorities, while maintaining quality under pressure.
Required Skills & Experience:
– Minimum of 3 years drafting/drawing experience in retail environments (not residential).
– Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., Lumion, Enscape).
– Strong understanding of retail-specific codes and compliance, including accessibility.
– Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately, especially on tight turnaround times.
– Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote team.
Bonus Qualifications:
– Experience working on multi-site rollouts.
– Familiarity with document control systems and managing stakeholder inputs across multiple revisions.
General Requirements:
– Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
– Own hardware/software setup ready for remote work.
– High level of responsiveness, reliability, and availability for AEST-timezone meetings.
– Able to start immediately.
