Position: Head of Engineering at Credo

Role Summary:
As the Engineering Leader at Credo, you will oversee a talented and passionate team, while translating our vision into action. We are seeking a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can guide our team to success. In this role, you will not only provide technical guidance but also be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration and driving momentum.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Foster a culture of action, learning, and collaboration
• Spend 50% of your time with the engineering team, shipping features, unblocking teammates, and reviewing architecture
• Own the delivery of product and platform workstreams in partnership with Product and Design
• Improve team processes, increase velocity, and support technical excellence
• Collaborate with other leaders to prioritize technical work and remove blockers
• Stay involved in the code and architecture, providing guidance and support as needed
• Help shape the long-term structure of the engineering organization and prepare for future growth
Qualifications:
• 5-10+ years of software engineering experience, including people leadership
• Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong execution and delivery management skills
• Ability to break down complex projects and keep things moving
• Passion for developing engineers and fostering a healthy team culture
• Experience working closely with Product and Design
• Solid understanding of modern development practices, architecture, and infrastructure
• Willingness to dive into technical work when needed
Other Important Information:
• This is a primarily remote position, but we prefer candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area for occasional in-person collaboration
• Some travel to our Denver, Colorado office may be required
• The exact title and scope of this role will be determined based on the experience and strengths of the candidate
• Must be able to work productively during Mountain Time business hours
• Collaboration with engineers in Europe may be necessary
