Overview:

dbrand is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and responsive web experiences, collaborating with our design team, and integrating external APIs. The successful candidate will have a strong proficiency in languages such as TypeScript, CSS, and HTML, as well as experience with web frameworks and UI libraries.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop responsive and accessible web experiences
– Collaborate with the design team to maintain intuitive user interfaces
– Select and integrate appropriate technologies for web development projects
– Integrate with external APIs to ensure seamless operations
– Perform code reviews for quality and security
– Contribute to technical decision-making processes
– Continuously improve our developer experience
– Ensure automated test coverage and web service availability
– Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends
– Adhere to best practices for code maintainability, accessibility, and performance

Qualifications:

– Proficiency in TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and basic experience in other scripting languages
– Experience with web frameworks such as SvelteKit, Next.js, Solid, Remix, or Nuxt
– Familiarity with Svelte/React/Vue and UI libraries
– Strong knowledge of TypeScript, including ES2022 features, Types/Interfaces, Generics, and Conditional Types
– Proficiency in HTML5 and writing accessible and SEO-friendly markup
– High proficiency in modern CSS, including CSS Grid, CSS Custom Properties, and Tailwind
– Familiarity with serverless, edge, and Node.js runtimes
– Proficiency with GraphQL and JSON REST APIs
– Experience working with headless CMSs and other data sources
– Solid experience with git and GitHub
– Basic understanding of pnpm and working in monorepos
– Experience with GitHub Actions
– Ability to write and automate tests, such as unit, snapshot, and integration tests
– Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
– Continual learning and improvement in testing methodologies and other areas of expertise

Location:

While our HQ is located near Toronto Pearson International Airport, we are open to remote work with preference given to candidates in Southern Ontario, Canada.
