Location: Palatine, Illinois or remote
Salary Range: $141,000-$159,000
Bonus Eligible: Yes

Weber is seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our Firmware Platform team. As a world-renowned manufacturer of charcoal and gas grills and accessories, we are committed to providing exceptional quality products and high customer satisfaction. Our team is responsible for a variety of tasks including hardware bring-up, software architecture, radio communications, and future feature development for our connected grills and accessories.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 4 years of embedded software development experience. Proficiency in C and scripting languages such as Python is required, as well as experience with CI/CD, JIRA, and Git. Knowledge of hardware-software integration and experience with laboratory equipment is preferred, as well as familiarity with embedded architectures and programming languages such as Rust. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of software architectural design patterns and unit testing frameworks.
