Position: Senior Data Analyst at Lovevery

Company Overview:

Lovevery is a rapidly growing digital brand founded by successful entrepreneurs and based in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to support parents in giving their children meaningful developmental experiences during the critical early years of life. Using a science-based approach, Lovevery has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the 10 most innovative companies of 2024 and has received awards from TIME, Red Dot, Good Housekeeping, and Forbes.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in uncovering actionable insights and shaping strategic decision-making across all aspects of our business. This individual contributor role requires critical thinking, a strong understanding of business context, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities through data analysis.

This is not a typical reporting analyst role. While you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and accessible core metrics, your primary focus will be on delving deeper into the “why” and “what next” behind the data. You will also be responsible for automating routine reporting and using that foundation to explore deeper insights, identify untapped opportunities, and drive the business forward. From day one, you will have the autonomy to lead analysis that helps us move faster, think deeper, and make smarter decisions.

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles with a proven track record of driving insights that lead to action.

– Highly proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large datasets and writing efficient, accurate queries.

– Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Omni, or similar, both for building dashboards and enabling self-serve use.

– Demonstrated ability to frame complex problems, structure analysis, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

– Strong critical thinking skills and business acumen, with the ability to connect data to broader strategic and operational contexts.

– Experience working with cloud data warehouses, preferably Databricks, but other platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift are acceptable.

– Familiarity with dbt for self-serving where necessary.

– Experience in subscription or ecommerce business models is a plus.

Responsibilities:

– Deliver high-impact analysis that directly impacts business outcomes. You will take ownership of complex, ambiguous problem areas and drive towards clarity and action.

– Surface trends, risks, and opportunities through thoughtful investigation. You will be able to separate signal from noise and help teams focus on what matters.

– Build and maintain foundational dashboards and reporting tools that answer recurring questions at scale. This will allow you to spend more time exploring new and unexplored areas.

– Partner closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, operations, and leadership to inform decisions with evidence and logic.

– Push beyond the original request to get to the root of the question. You will frame analyses to address the underlying business objective.

– Help teams understand the data they are working with. You will offer training, documentation, and strategic support to improve data literacy.

– Explore and implement AI-driven tools to accelerate your work, from documentation to data exploration to presentation.

Benefits:

– Competitive salary, benefits, and stock option package.

– 3 weeks of paid time off in year 1, plus 14 paid holidays.

– Generous parental leave.

– Any equipment you need to get the job done.

– Free/discounted Lovevery products.

– Remote working option available anywhere in the U.S.

Salary Range:

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.

Equal Opportunity Employer:

Lovevery is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in all forms. We make all employment decisions based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without regard to race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV status, marital status, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.
