Senior Independent UX/UI Designer – Remote Position

As part of A·Team, you can expect:
– High-paying and meaningful projects with ambitious companies, typically ranging from $90 to $150 per hour. Our clients are carefully selected and referred to us, ensuring quality and diversity. Some of our past clients include Lyft, McGraw Hill, ClearCo, Pepsi, Walmart, Endeavor, Post News, leading vaccine production software, and numerous startups backed by a16z, YC, Softbank, and more.
– Collaborate with old and new friends: Our focus is on small and diverse product teams, as our clients prefer to work with teams rather than individuals. We prioritize keeping friends together whenever possible.
– Full autonomy: You have the freedom to decline projects that do not align with your interests or availability. We understand that the most talented professionals often juggle multiple projects, and we respect your time and boundaries. If you decide to leave or take a break, it’s easy to do so.
– Exclusive and intimate gatherings: We organize small and curated events for our members to have meaningful conversations that are not easily found elsewhere. Our long-term goal is to create micro-communities for the world’s top builders to connect and bond over shared interests.
You keep 100% of what you earn: At A·Team, we believe in transparency and fairness. You will receive your full rate, and we only charge a small, flat platform fee on top.

What you’ll do:
As an A·Team member, you will have access to exciting and impactful projects that align with your interests. You can choose from early-stage incubations with top-notch founders, fast-growing companies with significant funding, or traditional non-tech companies looking to innovate like a tech giant.
Typically, these projects involve building complex software from scratch as part of a small team of 3-4 people. Your responsibilities may include scoping out the project, providing options to the client, guiding strategy, and executing the selected solution. Our clients may have a clear vision for the project, while others may need more guidance. That’s why our A·Team members are senior professionals who can work together to find the best direction.
Who A·Team is for:
– Senior UX/UI Designers who left large companies or high-growth startups to have more autonomy in their work.
– Those who prefer consistent contract work over a full-time role and enjoy creating various new products with other top-tier professionals.
– While the majority of our members primarily work independently, a significant percentage may also be employed full-time (but testing out client work), working on a side project, or looking for their next big opportunity.
Who A·Team is not for:
– Individuals seeking small and short-term projects.
– Professionals specializing in simple website design on platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
– Those in the early stages of their careers (less than 4 years of experience) or recent university/bootcamp graduates (at least not yet).
