Position: Flutter Developer at Planet Argon

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Flutter (Dart) Developer for a short-term contract to bring a client’s web-based tool to life on mobile. The main goal is to recreate essential features and workflows in Flutter, utilizing an existing backend API.
Note: While we prefer experience in Flutter/Dart, we are open to candidates with strong experience in React Native.
The Project:
As a part of the team, you will contribute to the development of My Storage Navigator, a mobile app that replicates the functionality of an existing web application for managing self-storage operations. Your first task will be to refine the Login flow, followed by building additional UI screens, integrating with APIs, and ensuring secure and efficient handling of user data.
Project Timeline & Hours:
This contract will run from July to September 2025, with an estimated workload of:
July: ~40 hours
August: ~40 hours
September: ~10 hours
This is a remote, part-time contract with an estimated commitment of 90 hours in total.

Requirements:
As a Part-Time Contract Flutter Developer, your responsibilities will include:
– Building and refining mobile UI components and workflows using Flutter/Dart
– Integrating securely with existing backend APIs
– Translating complex web functionality into native mobile patterns
– Collaborating with the project manager and client for scoping and estimating
– Writing maintainable, well-tested code
– Surfacing risks or blockers early and often
Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and a senior-level understanding of most of the following (items in bold are required for the position):
– Mobile development
– Flutter and Dart (or React Native if discussed)
– Integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous data
– Mobile authentication flows
– Mobile-first responsive design
– Clear communication in a remote, async-first environment
Availability and Location:
The ideal contractor should be comfortable working remotely within 1-2 hours of the EST timezone. This is a remote, part-time contract position, and the ideal candidate will be available for periodic meetings during EST business hours.

Our ideal contractor will have a rate of $80 USD/hour. We address bi-weekly invoices within 10 business days.
