Role Description:

SailPoint is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic AI Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the core infrastructure used to deploy and monitor our ML solutions across our products.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement scalable solutions for model development, deployment, monitoring, and governance
– Support a variety of ML use cases, including traditional ML and cutting-edge GenAI
– Bridge the gap between data science and engineering by providing robust tools, services, and best practices
– Ensure the smooth functioning of the ML lifecycle, including development, data/feature engineering, versioning, monitoring, and debugging in production environments
– Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
– Stay updated on the latest ML algorithms and technologies and apply them to enhance our products
– Demonstrate a bias for action and the ability to navigate ambiguity

Qualifications:

– 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role
– Proven track record of building and managing production-grade ML systems on cloud platforms, preferably AWS
– Strong understanding of the ML lifecycle and experience with development, data/feature engineering, versioning, monitoring, and debugging in production environments
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
– Working knowledge of common ML algorithms and technologies
– Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Requirements:

– Proficiency in core programming languages such as Python, Go, and Java
– Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock)
– Familiarity with GenAI frameworks and tools
– Knowledge of data management tools such as Snowflake, Kafka, and Airflow
– Experience with CI/CD frameworks like Jenkins or Cloudbees
– Familiarity with observability frameworks like Prometheus/Grafana
