Our team is at the forefront of innovation, tackling the challenges of the online identity crisis in a fast-paced market. We are looking for new talent to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to our team.

As the Advanced Analytics & Data Modeling Lead, you will have a significant impact on Veriff’s success by elevating the quality and scalability of our analytics. You will lead a team of analytics engineers, data scientists, and data professionals to build and maintain a robust analytics ecosystem, from raw data to production-grade machine learning systems.

If you are a problem-solver who is passionate about clean data design and building scalable systems, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

– Lead and grow a team of analytics engineers and data scientists within the Operations & Analytics organization.
– Set and enforce high standards for data modeling, analytics engineering, and documentation.
– Design and maintain core, reusable data models to enable scalable reporting and insights across product, operations, and business teams.
– Define best practices for using dbt, modular SQL, and data governance to ensure clarity and maintainability.
– Build the foundation for production-grade ML models to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
– Collaborate closely with business and operational stakeholders to translate their needs into robust data solutions.
– Foster an impact-focused culture that prioritizes complete, accurate, and timely data assets.
– Mentor team members and promote a culture of excellence, autonomy, and accountability.
– Work closely with the Data Engineering team to execute an impactful roadmap aligned with our end-stakeholders’ needs.

Requirements:

– 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data modeling, or a related quantitative field.
– Deep proficiency in dbt and modern analytics engineering practices.
– Strong understanding of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data environments like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
– Advanced SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and automation.
– Proven ability to work independently, lead ambiguous problem-solving efforts, and translate data into business impact.
– Expertise in data visualization (ideally Tableau), with the ability to create intuitive, performant dashboards.
– Experience mentoring or leading a team, ideally in a player-coach capacity.

Mindsets:

– Self-starter: You thrive in ambiguous environments and can define your own roadmap.
– Deep problem solver: You push beyond surface-level symptoms to uncover root causes.
– Clear communicator: You make complex analyses understandable to stakeholders of all backgrounds.
– Strategic executor: You’re comfortable zooming out to align on business priorities and zooming in to write code or debug a data pipeline.
