– Collaborating with Art Leadership, Tools and Graphics Engineering, and Tech Art to identify areas for quality, efficiency, or performance improvements in the technical pipeline and custom tool set for lighting on Judas.
– Upholding the highest standards of aesthetic and technical quality in your work and identifying opportunities for improvement across the project.

What You Bring:

– Extensive experience as a Senior or Principal Lighting Artist in the game industry, preferably on larger and more complex productions.
– Adeptness in crafting real-time lighting for gameplay, with a deep understanding of how lighting can enhance the player’s experience.
– An expert eye for value, color, composition, and creating deliberate visual hierarchy reads.
– Proficiency in Unreal Engine (preferably Unreal 4) and balancing game-spanning illumination and emissive standards for adaptive-exposure and HDR.
– Familiarity with performance evaluation and optimization, and experience working with Engineering and Tech Art to maintain best practices for the lighting team.

Who You Are:

– A proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with different departments and can effectively pitch creative, visual, and technical ideas.
– Mindful of individual and team efficiency, with a proven ability to work on challenging cross-functional tasks with ambiguity and autonomy.
– A positive force multiplier for the team, mentoring other Lighting Artists and promoting proactive, supportive collaboration across all departments.

Great to Have:

– A passion for narrative-driven games, particularly First Person Shooters.
– Additional background in traditional art, lighting, or cinematography.
– Experience working with diverse teams, both internally and remotely.
