Groundfloor is seeking a talented Senior Visual Designer to join our dynamic team and lead high-quality, user-centered design initiatives. As a Senior Visual Designer at Groundfloor, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cutting-edge investment platform that allows both non-accredited and accredited investors to participate directly in short-term, high-yield real estate investments. Your expertise in creating intuitive, consumer-grade designs will empower our users to effortlessly build and manage their portfolios.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Product team to enhance visual design for user workflows, identify pain points, and execute designs across Groundfloor’s product lines. A day in the life:

– Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new products.
– Manage the execution of design projects and lead the development of the design team.
– Proactively offer recommendations and solutions by championing high-quality design standards grounded in research and analysis.
– Create deliverables at various levels of fidelity, from sketches to wireframes to final designs.
– Communicate progress and key updates with other team members regularly.
– Cultivate a deep understanding of Groundfloor’s existing products and our users.
– Support early product definition by working closely with stakeholders and customers to participate in discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
– Work with product managers to understand customer needs and define opportunities through usability testing.

Requirements:

– 3-5 years of product and visual design experience.
– Professional experience with financial tools, investment platforms, and/or real estate products is preferred, but not required.
– Success in raising the design bar on consumer-facing products, emphasizing a customer-first approach.
– A high degree of financial literacy and comfort with basic concepts related to building and managing a personal portfolio of investments in public and private market securities.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Your experience + a few nice-to-haves:

– Professional experience with Figma design.
– Knowledge of financial tools, investment platforms, and/or real estate products.
– Experience with usability testing.
– Prior success in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
